Warli painting is a style of tribal art mostly created by the tribal women from north Sahayadri Range in India. Their extremely rudimentary wall paintings use a very basic graphic vocabulary: a circle, a triangle and a square. The circle and triangle come from their observation of nature, the circle representing the sun and the moon, the triangle derived from mountains and pointed trees.
Everything about Warli is earthy and soothing. Warli paintings succeed in adding elegance to a rural hut or a five star hotel lobby with the same charm.
This product is set of two paintings made on 8mm MDF using acrylic colours. The black warli art has a textured effect on the mesmerising sunset yellow colour and is a virtual treat.
MDF (medium density fibreboard) is an engineered wood composite that is similar to particle board, but is much denser and stronger. The surface of MDF is very smooth and provides perfect base for paintings and other acrylic artworks.
This set is ready to hang with hooks provided on the back side. Adorn your walls or send as a gift to your loved ones. It will surely make any living space beautiful.
